The CPA/Accountant can create as many companies as he/she wants under his registration at “ www.accountexact.com ” web site. All such companies are his/her clientele to whom they provide services.
What is the benefit of two different versions i.e. AccountExact and ClientExact?
The CPA/Accountant can provide service to any clientele which is geographically far away, and that is also without personal visits by the client at the CPA's/Accountant's office. Further, it reduces data entry duplication at both the ends.
Because of two different versions, the client can work without any hassle on his own with basic data applications at client side version and then the CPA/Accountant finalize all such books with the help of accountant side version. That's how client no need to visit office
Do I transfer data from other software in to AccountExact?
Yes, you can transfer data from your current accounting software to AccountExact (right now we provide this facility for only QuickBooks). Data transfer is only possible with AccountExact standalone package and not with ClientExact standalone package or online at “accountexact.com”.

The Clients can get it from their respective CPAs/Accountants.
Can I Backup and Restore data ?
Yes, you can backup your data and restore it in package installed on other PC or at other location. You can even send such backup at any where through any medium.
Is it possible that more than one individual can work with different rights, on the same PC with the same package ?
Yes, we enables administrator to control activities of others through access rights functionality. Due to this it is possible that more than one individual can work on the same PC and on the same package with different activity rights.
What is “Proxy Setup” ?
Before start working with program proxy setup is must. This is setting-up of user's proxy server address and proxy server port (i.e. IP address and port as provided by internet service provider). It is require for smooth working of upload-download functionality. You can set it from login screen of AccountExact and ClientExact.
What is Submit and Download Company at login screen ?
Submit button allows you to start working with program by login, while Download Company enables you to download primary company information from Actax's server. Download company process is only one time process; exception to this is the CPA/Accountant has to follow this process every time after creation of new company within his/her portfolio. For Submit action it is require that at least once you had followed the process of Download Company before that.
What if I Forgot password ?
You have two options; either you can click on “Forgot Password” at login screen of both the standalone packages or at login screen on website.
Is it possible that more than one user access same database from single location? (network option)
Yes, AccountExact and ClientExact enables users to access and work with database located at server (i.e. a hard disk drive on which package installed and then mapped it with other computers on which also AccountExact or ClientExact installed). Thus, more than one user can work on same database with different work rights through Access Right Control facility.
How do I register with Actax for AccountExact ?
It is just simple, click the link “ New CPA Registration ” fill-up the require information in form and submit it. Here, Login Name and Password are case sensitive, second thing you can't change User Name later on. As you complete process, you are registered with Actax Solutions and you can utilize this user name and password for Actax's products.
How do I login at accountexact.com ?
Once you registered with Actax Solutions for AccountExact, go for login “ CPA Login ” and specify your login name and password. If you are a client, then go for login “ Client Login ” and specify your login name and password. Now, you can enjoy all fruitful facilities offered by Actax for AccountExact and ClientExact.
Can I prepare Sales Tax Returns from AccountExact ?
Yes, you can prepare even sales tax returns (for some states) with the help of AccountExact. AccountExact integrates in itself for preparation of sales tax returns. For this you have to just specify little information. You can access Sales Tax Returns from main menu list in AccountExact.
Can I prepare US payroll forms returns for submission to DOL ?
Yes, AccountExact enables you to prepare state payroll forms (for some state) like Unemployment Forms, New Hire Forms and Withholding Forms for submission to state Department of Labor. You can access State Payroll Forms from “Forms” menu in AccountExact.
Is AccountExact support e-file facility for returns (Forms) ?
Yes, AccountExact facilitates you to e-file your returns (forms). You can made e-file from “e-File” menu in AccountExact.
What is requirement for entering directly bill received from vendor ?
Before entering a bill for vendor you have to create a vendor by specifying details for new vendor in to “Vendor” screen at Vendor Navigator. Further, you have to create an Invoice Item (i.e. item description of bill) before entering bill.
What is requirement to create directly Invoice for customer ?
Before create an invoice for customer you have to create a customer by specifying details for new customer in to “Customer” screen at Customer Navigator. Further, you have to create an Invoice Item (i.e. item description of invoice) before preparing invoice.
What is a Chart of Accounts ?
It is total list of all General Ledger created by you. Chart of Account gives you an idea about General Ledgers you are using for maintaining day to day activities. Through Chart of Accounts you can even get exact current balance status of all your General Ledger accounts.
What is function of setup payroll ?
It helps you in reducing your work. As a CPA you can do transfer list of Chart of Accounts, Pay Items and Employee Template from predefined industry specific lists by AccountExact or from other company within your portfolio. In any of these options AccountExact only transfers basic list and not the real data.
How can I prepare paycheck for an employee ?
If you have entered all data required for an employee like earning, deduction, withholding, contribution, pay period, etc. then you can create Paycheck for all such employees from “Create Paycheck” screen at Payroll Navigator.
What is file cabinet ?
File cabinet is a space occupied by AccountExact or ClientExact on your hard disk drive for saving all your memorized reports. In addition, it also save returns prepared for sales tax and state payroll forms, if you choose option for that.
What is the difference between bill after item and bill with item ?
Bill after item is when you have received material from vendor first and later on you receives bill for that, while bill with item is when you receives material and bill for that at a time from the vendor.
Can I manage rights of users ?
Yes, as an administrator you can manage rights of every user for separate modules and activities. AccountExact gives you an option to set rights to work for each user. This helps in avoiding access to restricted data by an unauthorized user.
What is Direct Deposit ?
Direct Deposit is a way of transferring fund from one bank account to another bank account through channel of payment gateways and ACH (Automated Clearing House). It gives you an option to pay your employees by depositing fund directly in to their bank accounts without giving them physical checks. The same way you can make payment to vendors or can receive payment from customers. Direct Deposit makes your fund transfer faster than other styles of fund transfer.
